Searcht is not
SEO & PPC agency
You won’t find pushy account managers or a fancy minimalist office here. We’re a small-ish, independent SEO agency with one focus—to help growing brands improve their search visibility and generate more revenue.
Searcht was born 13 years ago as OnQ Marketing. Things were different back then. Facebook was taking off, Instagram didn’t exist, and the internet was home to 255 million websites, compared to nearly 2 billion today.
Growing brands were exploring digital marketing and SEO, but finding help came at a cost.
From where we sat (as offline marketers), SMEs were underserviced at both ends of town.
A small budget didn’t go far. In most cases, it would buy an inexperienced agency that outsourced the heavy lifting with questionable results. A fatter budget got you an advertising company that tacked on SEO like an in-vogue afterthought.
So, we built a different kind of agency.
One that hits the sweet spot for small to mid-market businesses, where growth and service are non-negotiables.
We’ve been recognised as one of Australia’s top SEO companies while remaining small and true to our ethos.
When you partner with us, you get a down to earth team serving up high-end agency skill, without the high-end agency price tag.
What we believe
We're not really corporate-mission-statement kind of people.
Here are the values and beliefs that drive us:
- Every client deserves the same level of (outstanding) service, no matter their size.
- Present the option that will deliver the best results for the smallest investment.
- Don’t rely on vanity metrics. Always dig a little deeper.
- Understand the audience before marketing to them.
- Educate clients who are keen to learn.
- Move forward with integrity and accountability.
Meet our people
At Searcht, your direct contacts are the people managing your SEO, Google Ads or content strategy: our founders, Quentin and Jaclyn. It's one of the perks of staying small. From time to time, we'll call on our team of specialist support staff, including developers, linkbuilders, copywriters, and editors.
Director + SEO Strategist
Quentin is an information-hungry Gen Xer, often found lurking in the deepest corners of your Google Analytics on a quest to dig up something insightful.
He’s the man behind our 5-star client reviews and a regular contributor to GoDaddy, with 12 years of SEO experience under his belt. Quentin is enthusiastic about craft beer, live music, the emergence of Web 3, and making the internet a better place for everyone to experience.
Lead Copywriter + Content Strategist
Jac is our resident word worker, usually found buried under a pile of content briefs with a smile on her face. Crazy, right?
She’s a seasoned conversion-driven copywriter with 12 years of digital marketing experience to boot. She’s also the chirpy voice heard on our message bank. Jac enjoys travel, cold Prosecco, a good chat and helping brands grow.
Hear it from our happy clients

He also provides incredible creativity and problem-solving abilities, always keep us regularly informed of how our SEO is performing and ideas on how to improve it. This partnership has made our business a better one by helping us to reach our audience which in turn helps our team live our purpose.”
“It’s a pleasure to work with them; they care, are available whenever we need them, and deliver according to their promises.”
“Searcht has been an instrumental partner in SkinKandy’s meteoric rise. They’ve driven enormous growth at a local store level with improvements seen across our whole portfolio of stores nationwide. They’ve reduced our CPA by two thirds and we have seen our ROAS improve significantly. There is no doubt their role in us becoming the world’s largest piercing retailer is significant, meaningful, and worthwhile.”
